Autumn Haiku

Last autumn, I was woken in the small hours of the morning, on my permanent mooring, by natural sounds, and found it impossible to go back to sleep, so I stood on the back of the boat in the dark and just looked and listened. The outcome of this was my first ever inspiration to try my hand at a Haiku. This is the result.
Haunting owls
Dabchicks squeak
All sleep flown

Brief Comment

I previously suggested that I was back after suffering hardware problems, but that proved a little premature, as I have only made one post since then. I have been traversing the inland waterways in the UK and writing a software development system, and just have not had time to contribute to my own blog. I intend to start remedying that from now onwards, and hope to be adding more regularly from now on.
